Decorating across Wirral, from just down the road

We cover Wirral for all kinds of painting and decorating work. Ellesmere Port sits at the southern end of the Wirral peninsula, so for us this isn't a long trip out. It's practically home ground.

Wirral has a real mix of property. There are rows of Victorian and Edwardian terraces in the older towns like Birkenhead and Wallasey, large period homes, plenty of post-war semis and newer estates, and seaside towns along the coast. Each brings its own work. Older homes often need careful preparation of tired plaster, original woodwork and high ceilings before any paint goes on. Newer homes usually need fresh, hard wearing finishes that stand up to family life.

Painting outside near the coast

The peninsula has the Dee on one side, the Mersey on the other and the Irish Sea to the north, so many properties take the full force of wind, rain and salty air. That's hard on exterior paintwork. Good preparation and the right paint for render, timber and metal make a big difference to how long a finish lasts, and it's worth picking a settled spell of weather for the job. We'll talk you through the options when we come to look.

Who we work for in Wirral

We decorate for homeowners, landlords and letting agents, local businesses, and schools, councils and charities. Because we can work evenings and weekends, shops and offices can stay open while we work, and families aren't left living around us all day. Bigger projects and regular work are very welcome. If you manage rental properties on the peninsula, we'd be happy to be the decorator you call between every tenancy.

Decorating in Wirral: your questions

Anything else you'd like to know? Get in touch and we'll be glad to help.

Ask us a question
Do you cover the whole of Wirral?

Yes, Wirral is one of our main areas and we're based just to the south in Ellesmere Port. Get in touch with a few details of your job and where it is, and we'll arrange a time to come and look.

How do your quotes work?

Quotes are free and there's no obligation. For most jobs we come out first so we can see the rooms or outside walls properly. Simpler jobs can often be priced over the phone. Most work comes with a fixed price, so you know what you'll pay before we start.

When is the best time to paint the outside of a house near the coast?

Late spring to early autumn is usually best, when it's milder and drier. Paint needs dry surfaces and a few dry hours to set, which matters on exposed coastal properties that get a lot of wind and rain. Good preparation of render and woodwork helps the finish last.

Can you decorate my shop or office in Wirral without us closing?

Often, yes. We can work evenings and weekends, so we can plan the job around your opening hours and keep disruption to your customers and staff to a minimum.

Do you work for landlords and letting agents in Wirral?

We do. We decorate rental properties between tenancies, and fixed prices for most jobs make budgeting easier. We'd be happy to be your regular decorator if you look after several properties.
