Painter and decorator in North Wales

Decorating across the border

Ellesmere Port sits only a short drive from the Welsh border, so North Wales is close to home for us. We travel over regularly for painting and decorating work, and we treat jobs here exactly as we would on our own doorstep.

North Wales has a real mix of buildings. There are stone and slate cottages, rows of Victorian terraces, seaside towns along the coast, newer estates and plenty of shops, offices and industrial units. Each one asks for something a little different from a decorator.

Painting for the North Wales weather

Much of North Wales sits between the hills and the sea, and it gets its share of wind and rain. That matters most on the outside of a building. Salt air near the coast and damp weather inland are hard on paint, so good preparation is what makes a finish last. That means cleaning down, scraping back anything flaking, filling and priming bare wood before a single top coat goes on.

Older properties need care inside too. Solid walls and traditional plaster can behave differently from modern plasterboard, so we look at the surfaces properly before we recommend a paint or a paper.

Who we work for in North Wales

• Homeowners wanting a single room refreshed, a whole house redecorated, or the outside smartened up.
• Landlords and letting agents who need properties turned round between tenants, at a price they can budget for.
• Businesses such as shops, offices and commercial premises. Bigger jobs are very welcome, and evening and weekend work keeps disruption down.
• Schools, councils and charities who need a fully insured, fully qualified team that can work outside normal hours.

Why people choose KDS
